So while we're all on the subject of nostalgia, perhaps someone can help me piece this together:
I was watching a clip of old, local news footage on the 1988 riot that happened at the Social Distortion show at Odd Rock Cafe. That in itself was interesting as some of my earliest childhood memories happened in that area (father was a punk-rock runaway). Anyhoo, as I was watching I saw this:

It's only up for a second, but I made the mistake of noticing.
I know Jack had an obvious hand in Milwaukee Metalfest (and surely it's demise), but was not aware of the acid events in town during the 80's. This, as far as I understand, pre-dates DBN.
My questions are these: Who booked these? Is there any footage/sound recordings? Can it even be compared to the likes of a "rave"? Am I just mistaking this for a terrible jam-band from Madison?
I mean, this is pretty damn impressive if "Acid Tracks" was released in '87 and we were having parties in '88.
Anyone?
