ZeroBeat is a studio project formed by Joshua Jenquin (DJ Anonymous) w/ a group of great players.

1. Darkjam
Paul Daugherty(sax), Joe Niesen(guitar), Gary Chin(bass guitar/upright bass, and Alan Chin’s brother), and Joshua Jenquin(drums/production). This particular song was inspired by my love for “the twilight zone” and is about playing russian roulette w/ a robot. This track is raw and unmastered. Though if you listen to it with a proper sub you will hear the sound of my 28″ kik drum(thats a big kik drum!!!)

2. Larry’s Groove
Paul Daugherty(sax), Joe Niesen(guitar), Matt Skalitzky(guitar), Gary Chin(bass cuts) and Joshua Jenquin(drums,turntables and production). Another raw cut, Larry’s Groove is the result of having Larry Coryell and the Eleventh House stuck on repete in my head. Each player was simply asked to “get all Larry on it”, and Larry they got. With that said, enjoy the ride.

3. Jericho
Matt Skalitzky (guitar and vintage roland guitar synth), and Joshua Jenquin (drums,percussion, and production). Vocal sample source-”The Ames Brothers.”

4. Greek Love
Paul Daugherty(sax), Matt Skalitzky(guitar), Gary Chin(bass), and Joshua Jenquin(production,original drum recordings). A bit of a ride on the schizo train, Greek Love is one of our favorite tunes. The sax work from Paul Daugherty exposes raw emotion, and the drum edits expose my love for early jungle/drum&bass. So hold hands w/ your favorite greek philosopher and flex those thighs!!

5. Medicated Dub
Joe Niessen(guitar,composition, bass guitar,synth), Matt Skalitzky(guitar), Paul Daugherty(sax), and Joshua Jenquin(drums and production). Medicated Dub is our mellow groover. Originally composed by Joe Niesen off of some solid phased out drum arrangments…BIG UP YOUR LEFT NOSTRIL!!!!!!! ALL CHORE BOY MASSIVE!!!!!!

Afterbirth didn’t really start as an Addict sub-label, but upon its failure, it was kindly absorbed. Started by a middle-aged Wisconsin fan with $1,500 burning a hole in his pocket, Afterbirth managed to put out one great release before folding. The release now stands as a great reminder of a time when people did stuff with the music they liked, instead of just blogging about it. They produced something and invested, and for that we are eternally grateful. The world sucks now.

This was a good idea that quickly went bad. Our original distributor (under their second LLC) convinced Doormouse to release a subscription series that would generate income upfront with the promise of monthly releases by mail in return. This plan failed miserably when the distro. company went under halfway through production. On top of that the company that picked us up failed to get anything done in a timely manner. As a result, Stunt Rock still gets emails once a month from some poor “fan” asking what happened to his full subscription. If you’re still missing a few of these records but paid for a full subscription, you’re shit out of luck. Email for a list of names legally responsible for ripping you off. We assure you it wasn’t Doormouse or Stunt Rock.

For a time compact discs were very popular. They were so popular that many record labels made separate catalog numbers for them. Addict Records was not immune to this trend, and like everyone else we looked like a bunch of fucking morons with a closet full of extra cds in the process. Do you want a spindle of 500 copies of Regret™ 2? Neither do we, yet there they sit in our closet. You see, these CD manufacturing companies convinced small record labels that since CD’s were so popular, why not press 500 more copies of a 250 CD run for only $250 more dollars? Yeah, every fucking nu-metal band in the world fell for it, and so did we. Now 500 copies of The Album? sit in a landfill in Zion, Illinois.
